It exceeds the Cat 5, Cat 5e, and Cat 6 specifications, achieving Level III accuracy. It also features automatic diagnosing of cable faults, and tells you exactly where the fault is in meters or feet. It is comparable in performance to most desktop models, with the added benefit of being handheld.
With the DSP-4300, you can monitor traffic through your Ethernet. Regardless on whether youre using 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX, you can detect and measure impulse noise better than any other tester on the market. You can also identify hub port connections and tell what standard is met by the respective connections.

* Use the Fiber Optic Power Meter (DSP-FOM ) to measure optical power, in dBm or mW. You can also measure optical power loss (expressed in dB). The power loss measurement (or attenuation) compares the measured light energy at the end of the link (output) to the reference level at the input (the light source).
