NI USB-232/2 interfaces transform your Universal Serial Bus (USB) port into two asynchronous serial ports for communication with RS232 serial devices. USB-232 ports use the NI-Serial driver to work as standard serial ports in any Windows application. NI-Serial also includes the NI-VISA API for accessing advanced serial port features and writing interface-independent code that is compatible with any interface that supports VISA.
